Steel Glades was erected to protect the capital from invaders, using the previous royal family's castle that was destroyed, and taking advantage of the towers and walls left standing. It looks bare and abandoned at first, but the closer you get the more you'll notice that people have been here... and probably still are. The careful eye can pick up traces of people or creatures such as foot prints, camp fires, garbage, and more. The surrounding area had all trees cut down that could allow someone to peer over the wall. Once up close, you can finally hear sounds of chatter, music, laughter and metal. This fortress is the first and strongest defence of the capital city, blocking the only ground/walking area. The only other ways into the Capital are over high and dangerous mountains that reach past the clouds, or by sea. The Darlings, among a few families, are top defenders of the sea ports and docks.
