Marriage

Children
Any characters can marry each other. There are restrictions on procreation between the races, but not love. This is due to realism (a dragon and a fae wouldn't be able to make traditional love for example.) If that dragon and fae wish to marry however, that is allowed and up to them.
To get married, you must have the following:
A Cleric to perform the ceremony.
A token, such as a ring, to represent the marriage.
A date and location (to be reserved for your marriage.)
A guest list, or a public announcement.
How much you spend on the wedding will determine what your guest's gift bag will contain. Wedding packages are located in the market.
If you divorce, you cannot re-marry for 2 RL months.
All genders and races can marry. The only restriction to marriage is that the characters must be adult age.
Our system is structured. You need to go to your race's page to see what to roll for pregnancy. If you do not get a successful role, your character will NOT be pregnant.
You can roll once a day with a GM until successful (in real life, few people get pregnant their first try) and they'll guide you on what else to roll.
Pregnancy lasts at least 2 real life months. Its up to you if you want it to be longer, but it cannot be shorter than 2 months. Children will remain NPCs and age 1 year every month until age 12.
At age 12, they can be aged as you desire, just like other PC characters. It is up to you if you hand the character over to someone to become a PC at that point, otherwise they'll remain an NPC.
To adopt, all you need to do is make a post (from each player involved) giving permission for the process to make it official.
Your character always has the chance of dying in Mystic Worlds.
Permanent death is rare, and usually only happens when a player kills off their own character. If the death was due to a story or event, they can be resurrected.
You'll be allowed self-sacrifice for your character if it makes sense for the story. If your character commits suicide however due to any reason other than story progression (thus, self-sacrifice or battle scenes) you'll get double the death penalty, once. The second time, your character will be permanently dead. We wont allow character suicide used as a weapon against another player, or as a motive for attention.
Death Penalty: Stats reduced by 2, 10% loss of LP and MP, 10% loss of Status.
You'll receive the penalty for dying in a non-practice duel, or if your character dies in an event or quest. Your character can be resurrected as many times as necessary, but they'll become significantly weaker as you progress and keep dying. Keep your character safe with some armor, healing items or skills, or making sure a Healer is nearby.

NPC Use

Like items or property, NPCs (Non-Player Characters) can be used in an unofficial capacity for stories. Official NPCs however will give you benefits to having registered on your sheet. Purchase an NPC in the market.
Pet - This NPC is deemed a pet/companion to the PC.
Perk: A pet will give you +1 Status for each level you upgrade it. Cannot battle.
Personal - This NPC might be a family member of the PC, or a worker of some capacity for them such as a cook or maid.
Perk: A Personal NPC will give you +1 Status for each level upgrade, and have basic stats. 50 LP/50 MP - 5 in each Stat. Used for defending themselves only. Can be resurrected, with death penalty.
Combat Pet - This NPC is a battle creature (non-humanoid) used for defending their owner or participating in pet battles.
Perk: Stats are officially registered, and will gain experience like PC's if it wins its battles. Only uses LP/MP and Stats, and natural weapons. If it dies, it can be resurrected by a Druid but gets the same death penalty as PC's for stats.
Combat NPC - This NPC is used in storyline battles or cage fights and is seen as a Guard, Mercenary, etc. of the PC owner.
Perk: Stats are officially registered and will gain experience like PC's if it wins its battles. Only uses LP/MP and Stats, armor and one weapon of PC's choice. If it dies, PC loses 1/2 of their total Status and 1000gp grievance pay. This NPC cannot be resurrected. If used in Quests, the NPC would be used to attack in place of the PC's turn, and PC can still be injured. You can have 1 Combat NPC per level.
