Mandragora are spore like plant creatures. Over time they grew more and more intelligent and aware before finally becoming a mobile race. Though they have a few humanoid features, they are nothing like humans. A lot of times, when you pass by a Mandragora, you may believe they are part of the natural scenery and never know you were just in contact with one. Their primary reason for being now, is to protect Varlonan from races that often abuse its natural resources. Devasted by people who harvested them for food, tools, and more they try to enlighten others to the plight of the world and that not all plants are lifeless, and deserve to be protected and treated with respect just as any other race does. Mandragora feed off sunlight, water, and soil nutrients. They range in size from a large flower to a tree. You'll rarely find two that look alike. To further their intrests of communication and understanding, some of the more aggressive Mandragora learned to infect and take over other lifeforms to better 'fit in' to societys. This kills the host being taken over as their insides are replaced with roots that can slip out of the body to gain sunlight when needed.
